Some Facts
In January 2014 the Philippines Department of Health declared an outbreak of measles. A single case of measles may infect up to 18 other people. Measles is very infectious.
Our Approach
In September 2014 President Benigno Aquino III pledged support for a measles campaign to target 11 million children for vaccinations. Vaccinate One World would like to assist the Philippines with a visual art project and the distribution of books on vaccinations to encourage reading and education about vaccine preventable diseases. The Philippines’ goal is to reduce and eventually eliminate measles disease.
